Applecross Farm is our family-run organic smallholding in the heart of Cheshire, dedicated to raising food the right way. Farming is in our blood, and we’re committed to keeping our heritage alive by working in harmony with the land, raising livestock ethically, and producing organically grown fruit and vegetables.
We also work with local, like-minded farmers, paying fair prices for native and heritage breed livestock.
Generational Farming

Our goal is simple—to pass this way of life on to the next generation. We farm sustainably, raise our livestock with care, and stay true to the traditions that have shaped our family for over a century.

Meet the Team
Fred
A fourth-generation apple grower with a passion for sustainable, ethical food, Fred is the driving force behind Applecross Farm’s many projects. After losing his family’s original farms, he set out to rebuild—focusing on permaculture, regenerative farming, and supporting local producers. Whether he’s in the shed building something new, crafting the perfect smoked feast, or advocating for British farmers, Fred is dedicated to keeping farming alive for the next generation.
Jo
From the first light of dawn, Jo is the beating heart of Applecross Farm, tending to the children, animals, and thriving gardens that make the land so special. With a natural gift for growing, she fills the farm with abundant fruit, vegetables, and flowers, nurturing life in every corner. This land holds deep family roots, once her child hood home Jo is dedicated to keeping her legacy alive. She lovingly teaches the next generation how to grow with nature, ensuring the farm continues to flourish for years to come.
Jo transforms the farm’s bounty into beautiful homemade breads, cakes, and preserves, and wonderful meals, taking pride in feeding her family with the very best of Applecross Farm. Her passion, patience, and hard work make this place more than a farm—it’s a home, filled with warmth, tradition, and life.
